Summer 2021 Activity Kits
Dear Budding Roses Families,

We hope you are all staying safe, healthy, and engaged this summer!
Once again this year, Budding Roses will be offering social justice activity kits in lieu of a full in-person summer camp. Free kits will be available for Portland-area youth in 4th-8th grade. We will be prioritizing returning campers and new BIPOC campers first.
Our kits will include a variety of materials (resources, games, zines, and activities) that we hope will facilitate conversations and learning about topics such as race, gender, the environment, disability justice, youth activism, and so much more. If safety allows, we will have a few in-person meet-ups in an outside, socially-distanced environment later this summer and fall.

Estimadas familias de Budding Roses,
Esperamos que todos se mantengan seguros, saludables y comprometidos este verano.
Una vez más, este año Budding Roses ofrecerá kits de actividades de justicia social en lugar de un campamento en persona. Los kits gratuitos estarán disponibles para los jóvenes del área de Portland en 4to-8vo grado. Priorizaremos primero a los campistas que regresan y a los nuevos campistas BIPOC.
Nuestros kits incluirán una variedad de materiales (recursos, juegos, revistas, y actividades) que esperamos faciliten las conversaciones y el aprendizaje sobre temas como la raza, el género, el medio ambiente, la justicia de discapacidad, el activismo juvenil y mucho más. Si la seguridad lo permite, tendremos algunas reuniones en persona en un entorno exterior y socialmente distanciado a finales de este verano y otoño.
